Referred to as “the new hub of the UCR campus,” UC Riverside’s brand new 142,000 square foot Student Commons opened its doors on the first day of the fall quarter, September 24, 2007. The new Commons provides an active, vibrant student-centered facility on par with any campus in the UC system. The central plaza area is highlighted with colored concrete paving and a grand staircase.
